God’s love
is revealed in the Bible: God loves you and wants to make
your life full and complete even after this lifetime.
"For
God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."(John 3:16)
We are
sinful: We are all sinners and we all do things that we
know are wrong. God is holy and good and by nature we are not.
"For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
(Romans 3:23)
Sin has a
penalty: Just as criminals must pay the penalty for their
crimes sinners must pay the penalty for their sins if they
continue in them.
"For
the wages of sin is death."
(Romans 6:23)
Christ has
paid our penalty: The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ,
God’s sinless Son paid the penalty for our sins.
"But
God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still
sinners, Christ dies for us." (Romans
5:8)
Salvation is
a free gift: Grace is an undeserved favor and it is an
offering from God that you could never provide for yourself.
"For
it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith – and
this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by
works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians
2:8-9)
Christ is at
your heart’s door: Picture Jesus Christ Himself standing
at the door of your heart ready to come into your life.
"Here
I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and
opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with
Me." (Revelation
3:20)
You must
receive Him: When you receive Jesus Christ into your heart
you become a child of God and can talk to Him any time.
"Yet
to all who received Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave
the right to become children of God."
(John 1:12)
Our
goal in ministry and life is to point the unsaved toward the love
of God. He loves you regardless of where you just came from, what
you just said or did or how many times you committed your sin. God
loves you. He loves you so much that He wants to make your life
and your eternity better than ever. To talk to God you have to
talk to His Son Jesus Christ. You can pray a simple prayer. You
don't have to clean up first or make yourself presentable, just
talk to Him. He really wants to hear from you and you can talk to
Him just like you'd talk to a friend.
Simply
Pray
Dear
Jesus, I know I don't deserve to be loved or redeemed but I adore
You because You said I could come and talk to you like this. I
confess to You my sins. They've held me back and weighted me down
for too long so I bring them to You and I leave them with You.
Come into my life and save me I pray. Cleanse me of my past sins
and dwell in my heart. Thank you Jesus for loving me and saving me
and giving me new hope. I confess You now in Jesus name. AMEN
Congratulations
Congratulations!
You're a Christian now! If you prayed that prayer or any sincere
prayer of repentance and confession, according to the Bible,
you're born again. You can now join the celebration of the
believers and rejoice that you are on your way to Heaven.
The next step is to get involved with a local church that teaches the Gospel and also follow the Lord in believer's baptism.
